Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell were arrested on Monday, The Associated Press reports.
According police, someone from the couple's Connecticut home called 911 on Saturday night and hung up. Officers who responded to the scene found minor injuries on an undisclosed person and believe it to be a case of domestic violence. The two were subsequently arrested on disorderly conduct charges.
"There was aggressiveness on both sides," police chief Leon Krolikowski said Monday at a news conference, according to the AP. "They're both victims and they have children involved and we're trying to be very cautious of that."
