Patrick Stewart Eats His First Slice of Pizza... at 72
Patrick Stewart, best known for his roles in X-Men and Star Trek, has finally joined the ranks of most Americans by eating his first slice of pizza... ever.
The 72-year-old actor tweeted a photo of himself eating said slice on Wednesday, which certainly surprised some fans since, you know, pizza is practically its own food group in America. In truth, Stewart has tasted pizza before, but he's never had it in its preferred portion size: a slice.

The reason he chose this week to have one? "I was only eating [it] because my fiancée and I were a little hungover," he tells New York Magazine. When the slice arrived, he was baffled by the lack of utensils provided. "Of course, I was mocked for thinking that I could eat a pizza slice with a knife and a fork."
Because Stewart grew up in a small English community where there was apparently no pizza, he didn't actually know what it was until he was in his 20s. But now, Stewart says, he's likely to have a slice again sometime soon. But first, the next delicacy on his list to try isn't so common: 100-year-old-eggs. Make it so!
