Sarah Palin's Alaska to Welcome Gosselin Family
Sarah Palin, Kate Gosselin
Two of America's most famous families will come face-to-face when the Gosselins make an appearance on Sarah Palin's Alaska later this year, TLC President Eileen O'Neill announced Friday at the Television Critics Association's fall preview.
Kate Gosselin and all eight children will go on a camping trip with Sarah Palin and her clan in one episode of the TLC's eight-part Alaska. TLC also airs Jon & Kate Plus 8 and its later incarnation, Kate Plus 8.
O'Neill revealed Alaska's set-up: The part reality show-part travelogue will document the Palins as they travel across the state, doing everything from salmon fishing in Bristol Bay to hiking across some of the state's oldest glaciers. The series will also show Palin's encounters with both local residents and animals; cameras have already seen brown bears and Kodiak bears.

"This project is going extremely well," O'Neill said, adding that the Palins "are an incredibly outdoorsy family."
Alaska, produced by Mark Burnett, will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 9/8c.
