Jenji Kohan's Orange Is the New Black Locks In That '70s Show's Laura Prepon

Laura Prepon

Jenji Kohan's new Netflix series Orange Is the New Black has arrested That '70s Show alum Laura Prepon for a major role.

Prepon, 32, has joined the hour-long drama as Alex, a former drug runner and the ex-girlfriend of lead character Piper (Taylor Schilling). It's this 10-year relationship — and an old college scheme — that lands Piper in detention in a federal penitentiary, where orange jumpsuits are de rigueur.  Jason Biggs also recently joined the show as Piper's fiancé Larry Bloom.

Netflix has ordered 13 episodes of the series, which is based on the memoir of the same name. Prepon is best known for playing Donna on eight seasons of That '70s Show, and most recently starred in ABC's October Road and NBC's Are You There, Chelsea?
