Watch out, ladies of Litchfield!
At Friday night's Paley Festival panel for Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, fans learned more about the newest inmate who will join Piper (Taylor Schilling) & Co. behind bars. "I play a character called Vee ... who is probably one of the more complex characters I've ever played," the Juilliard-trained actress Lorraine Toussaint said. "She's a complex, interesting character that interacts intimately with all of these characters. She's not afraid of intimacy."

What Vee sounds like is trouble. "I play a streetwise drug maven who runs children," Toussaint continued. "It'll be interesting seeing how this character is received because [series boss Jenji Kohan] has written a character that plays and enjoys the game and is incredibly engaging and draws people into the big game."
One of those people is Litchfield's head chef Galina "Red" Reznikov, played by Kate Mulgrew, who said of Toussaint, "I had a lot to do with her, and it was heavenly." Danielle Brooks, who plays bookworm Taystee, added that working with the new girl "felt like taking an Oprah master class."
Although the panel was short on other details (the cast is notoriously close-mouthed when it comes to spoilers), Kohan did confirm that we'll get backstories on some of the other inmates. We'll learn more about the bridal-obsessed Lorna Morello (Yael Stone), redheaded nun Sister Ingalls (Beth Fowler), the aforementioned Taystee, Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley) and Miss Rosa (Barbara Rosenblat), among others.
What do you hope to see in Season 2?
