The Office: Will Ray Romano, James Spader or Catherine Tate Replace Steve Carell?

Ray Romano, James Spader

The list of potential replacements for The Office's Michael Scott just keeps growing.

Ray Romano, James Spader and Catherine Tate will guest-star in the season finale of the NBC sitcom as candidates for the manager position at Dunder Mifflin, TVLine reports. Will Arnett and original Office boss Ricky Gervais will also appear in the Season 7 ender.

The long list of applicants doesn't bode well for incoming character D'Angelo Vickers, played by guest star Will Ferrell, who will head to Dunder Mifflin to — you guessed it — also replace Michael (Steve Carell). Carell's last episode airs April 28.

Everybody Loves Raymond's Romano, 53, currently stars and executive produces the TNT drama Men of a Certain Age. Three-time Emmy winner Spader, 51, most recently starred on Boston Legal. Tate, 42, is best known for her work on British sketch comedy series The Catherine Tate Show.

The hour-long season finale of The Office airs May 19 on NBC.
