The View

If you're worried about whether President Barack Obama spends enough time on the job, rest assured that he's not indulging in at least one guilty pleasure.

Or so he says.

Obama says he appears on The View because his wife watches it

Asked on The View about Jersey Shore's Snooki, the commander-in-chief professed to have no idea who she was.

"Should Snooki run as mayor of Wasilla?" co-host Joy Behar asked during Obama's View appearance Thursday, referring to Sarah Palin's Alaskan hometown.

"I've got to admit, I don't know who Snooki is," the president laughed.

Gawker noted that the president made a joke about Snooki and her Jersey Shore castmates two months ago at a White House Press Correspondents Dinner, when referring to the new indoor tanning tax. But the site also speculated — gasp — that someone else may have written the joke.

One thing's for sure: Snooki knows who Obama is. The premiere episode of Jersey Shore features her complaining about the new tax, and blaming him for it.

Along with discussing Afghanistan and the economy Obama answered a range of less-pressing questions. Yes, he knows Lindsay Lohan is in jail. No, he doesn't tweet often.

"I don't tweet on a regular basis," he told Sherri Shepherd. "I think there is some official president's tweet, but some 20-year-old is doing a lot of the tweeting."

He also told the ladies what's on his iPod.

"You name it, I've got it. I've got Jay-Z on there. I've got Frank Sinatra on there. I've got Maria Callas on there," he said. "I do not have Justin Bieber."
