Obama vs. Big Bird: Sesame Street Upset By Campaign Ad

Big Bird, Barack Obama

Forget D.C. This year's presidential election is taking place on Sesame Street (and Big Bird & Co. aren't happy about it).

The Sesame Workshop, which produces the PBS series, released a statement Tuesday asking the Obama campaign to take down a new ad that uses Big Bird to mock Mitt Romney.

Romney's Big Bird comments give rise to Million Muppet March

"Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns," it said. "We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down."

The ad is still available to view as of now. Watch the full video below.

Do you think the Obama campaign should have left Big Bird alone?
