Barack Obama

Barack Obama isn't just taking to the Oval Office this year, but to the stage as well — sort of.

London's Islington's Hen and Chickens Theatre has announced plans to produce a musical, Obama On My Mind, inspired by the brand new President of the United States, Playbill reports.

Set to premiere March 5, the production will take a "humorous look at the weird and wonderful world behind the scenes of a small Obama campaign office and the larger than life characters who make the wheels turn, the cogs whirr and bring in the votes."

American crime writer and filmmaker, Teddy Hayes, who's lived in the UK for the past 13 years, has penned the materials, with the tunes described as "pop, gospel, jazz and soft rock."

The show will run until March 21. Roles have yet to be cast.

What do you think of the idea? Who should play Obama? Should one of the songs be called "Yes We Sang"?
