Nicki Minaj will be joining Mariah Carey at the American Idol judges table, Us Weekly reports.
Report: Diddy in talks to Judge American Idol
The singer and rapper is in final negotiations for the job, according to the report. Minaj, whose hits include "Super Bass" and "Starships," is set to embark on a world tour in October.
Last month, Fox announced that Carey would fill one of the vacant seats on the panel left by exiting judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Nick Jonas and Sean "Diddy" Combs are among a group of celebrities who have also reportedly been in the running for the gig. It remains unclear if longtime Randy Jackson will return this season as a judge or how many judges will be on the panel.
Fox did not immediately respond to TVGuide.com's request for comment.
