Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo tied the knot on Friday evening in a small, tropical island ceremony, People reports.
"For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want and that's to start a family together," Minnillo tells the magazine.

The TV hosts — Lachey heads The Sing-Off, while Minnillo just took over Wipeout — surprised their guest by flying them to an undisclosed location. "Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket," Lachey says. "We told them they were going away and the attire was 'island chic.' It was all very vague."
Their wedding will be televised on a TLC's special called Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding on Saturday, July 30 at 9/8c.

Lachey, 37, and Minnillo, 30, got engaged in November. They have been dating since 2006, shortly after the singer split from Jessica Simpson. Lachey and Simpson, of course, chronicled their wedding and three-year marriage on MTV's Newlyweds. (Not to be outdone, Simpson got engaged to ex-football player Eric Johnson a week after Lachey and Minnillo shared their happy news.)
