Nick Jonas Confirms American Idol Judging Reports: "It Would Be a Dream Come True"

Nick Jonas

Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and... Nick Jonas?

The singer and Broadway star confirmed reports that  he might possibly be joining  American Idol are true. "I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens," he tweeted Saturday.

Report: Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams in talks to join American Idol

Jonas, 19, would be by far the youngest judge in Idol history if he were to sign on for Season 12. Jonas was reportedly in talks for the gig along with producer Pharrell Williams. (The same report suggested that Jackson might also leave the judges' table behind, following the exits of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.)

After rising to fame as part of the Jonas Brothers band, Jonas went solo in 2004. He recently guest-starred on Smash and starred in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
