Nick Cannon Hospitalized for Blood Clots in His Lungs

Nick Cannon

Nick Cannon is suffering from blood clots in his lungs and an enlarged ventricle in his heart, the Up All Night actor announced on his 92.3 FM Rollin' morning show Thursday after being released from the hospital.

Cannon, 31, says he had been hospitalized since last Friday because of back pain. After undergoing a series of tests, doctors discovered both conditions.

Nick Cannon hospitalized with kidney problem

This is Cannon's second hospitalization this year. Shortly after New Year's Day, Cannon was diagnosed with mild kidney failure. Cannon said his extensive traveling "on top of my previous condition," made him more prone to blood clots. However, he remained optimistic. "We're taking it one day at a time."

Cannon, who is married to Mariah Carey, also hosts America's Got Talent, which returns this summer with new judge Howard Stern.
