NY Magazine Approval Matrix
Bravo is developing a series based on New York magazine's back-page feature, The Approval Matrix, according to The New York Observer.
The Matrix, Ben Mathis-Lilley and Emma Rosenblum's unscientific graph, rates pop culture events in terms of how highbrow, lowbrow, brilliant, or despicable they are. The feature's subtitle reads "Our deliberately oversimplified guide to who falls where on our taste hierarchies."
Hookers, cookers and married men in drag: Will you watch Bravo's new lineup?
A recent issue, for example, called Joe Biden's "big f---ing deal" slip-up both lowbrow and brilliant, while a jail-themed playground was highbrow and despicable.
Michael Hirschorn, the man behind VH1's I Love the '80s, will collaborate on the project with New York magazine editor Adam Moss, reports The Observer.
What do you think of the concept — highbrow and brilliant or lowbrow and despicable?
