New Girl Casts Winston's Mom

Things are not looking bright for New Girl's resident goofball, Schmidt (Max Greenfield), in Season 2.
Schmidt already faces competition from Cece's new boyfriend, who will be played by Nelson Franklin. And now there's a second character who isn't exactly his biggest fan: Winston's mom. Television veteran Anna Maria Horsford will guest-star as the "tough-talking" Charmaine Bishop, TV Line reports.
New Girl: Bent's David Walton, Leslie Mann and Niecy Nash Join Season 2
Horsford has previous appeared on Grey's Anatomy, The Shield and Amen.
New Girl kicks off its second season on Tuesday, Sept. 25 with two episodes at 8/7c and 9/8c.
