Book of Mormon's Josh Gad has been cast as a potential suitor for Jess (Zooey Deschanel) on the New Girl premiere, E! Online reports.
Gad will play Bearclaw, a delivery guy who brings beer to the bar where Nick works who tries to get Jess to notice him.

Gad, who will star in NBC's midseason comedy 1600 Penn, will appear in the second episode of the series' two-episode premiere. Other guest stars set to appear this season include Leslie Mann, Niecy Nash and "sex interest" David Walton.
New Girl returns Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c and again at 9/8c on Fox.
