Big Love alum Jeanne Tripplehorn has booked a recurring role on New Girl as the former wife of Jess' upcoming new love interest, played by Dermot Mulroney, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
When things heat up between Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Russell (Mulroney), the father of one of her students, Russell's ex-wife, Ouli (Tripplehorn), does not take to Jess so kindly.

Tripplehorn, 48, will appear in two episodes beginning in late March.
Tripplehorn was last seen on the small screen as Bill's first wife on HBO's Big Love, which ended its five-season run last year. She also received an Emmy nomination for her performance as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in HBO's Grey Gardens.
