Dennis Farina, whose credits include Get Shorty and Law & Order, has been cast as Walt Miller, the con artist father of Nick (Jake Johnson), TVGuide.com has confirmed. TVLine.com first reported the news.

Walt will mysteriously reappear in an episode slated for January when he enlists his son in some less than legal activities that involve — funnily enough considering Farina last starred on Luck — a racetrack!
For those who guessed correctly, it is Nick's father who was No. 1 in our Mega Buzz guessing game.
New Girl airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
