Don't spend lots of money for holiday decorations that you'll need to store.
"Instead, upgrade your room's look for not a lot of money. Invest in a lamp shade with a metallic lining or throw pillows that have metallic details."
Use what you already have in creative and festive ways.
"Take your never-used cut glass punch bowl, fill it with ornaments and use it as a centerpiece for the table. Why not display your holiday dishes on the wall?"
If there's no room for a tree, innovate!
"Try a pair of small topiaries on the mantle. Or you can put white lights in glass bowls of different sizes and shapes on a chest of drawers."
Don't overwhelm the space.
"If you cover your entryway with lights, take it easy on the rest of the space. The holidays are so frenetic, our homes should be a haven after a holiday party to unwind with a few people. You don't want to leave Times Square, walk in the door, and it still feels like that."
