NCIS Casts Larry Miller to Play Jimmy's Father-in-Law

NCIS has recruited Larry Miller to play the future father-in-law of Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen), Entertainment Weekly reports.
The comedian and veteran actor will play Ed Slater, the father of Jimmy's fiancée Breena. In the CBS drama's Christmas episode, airing in December, Jimmy spends the holidays with Breena's side of the family.

"We needed a curmudgeon with a sharp tongue and even sharper wit so we were thrilled when gifted actor/comedian Larry Miller expressed a desire to play Ed Slater," executive producer Gary Glasberg told the magazine. "The holidays wouldn't be complete without some family tension and fans are certainly going to get some. They may even see a side of Jimmy dealing with Ed they never expected."
Miller, 58, most recently guest-starred on Curb Your Enthusiasm earlier this year.
