NBC to Re-Air Beijing Olympics Highlights

Thought you had heard the last of the Olympics until 2010? Think again.

On Saturday, Dec. 27, NBC will broadcast Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony: TV Event of the Year, a two-hour special hosted by Bob Costas and Matt Lauer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to reliving the breathtaking production that kicked off the games, the special will look back at Beijing's most memorable moments, including the record-breaking performance of swimmer Michael Phelps. The special will also include a look forward to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, which NBC will also broadcast.

Costas and Lauer hosted the opening ceremony spectacular when it first aired in August. The special will air at 8 pm/ET.
