Ozzy Osbourne, Snoop Dogg, MC Hammer

Ever since Ozzy Osbourne invited cameras to document his dysfunctional family life back in 2002, networks have been trying to recreate the same magic by giving musicians reality shows to call their own. Now, 1990s superstar MC Hammer is jumping on the family-themed reality bandwagon with his new series Hammertime (premiering Sunday, June 14 at 10 pm/ET on A&E).

Check out clips from other artists who have taken the reality route and put their families' lives on display — functional or otherwise.

The Osbournes
Artist: Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath
Dysfunction is putting it mildly when describing this family. Between Ozzy's inaudible ramblings, Sharon's potty mouth, Kelly's wild-child ways and Jack's snarky remarks, this bunch puts the "Crazy" in "Crazy Train." (Note: Some adult language is used.)

Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica
Artists: Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey
Weren't these lovebirds the cutest? This pop-star couple gave fans an all-access pass into their busy lives to see how they juggled fame and marriage. But the real appeal was in the Jessica moments — including the famous Chicken of the Sea episode.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels
Artist: Gene Simmons of KISS
Simmons (aka "The Demon") and former Playmate Shannon Tweed are happily unmarried with two teenage kids, Nick and Sophie. But despite any preconceived notions of what home life would be like for Simmons' children, they're actually quite charming and witty — especially when they're mocking their dad's hair.

Snoop Dogg's Father Hood
Artist: Snopp Dogg
It's no surprise to see Snoop as a laid-back, smooth-talker at home. But what fans hadn't seen before was this rapper extraordinaire as the proud poppa of daughter Cori and sons Corde and Cordell (Snoop's birth name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr.). Plus: This show wins for best opening (1:00 mark).

Run's House
Artist: Rev Run of Run-D.M.C
The Rev Run has quite the brood. There's Vanessa, Angela, JoJo, Diggy, Russy and baby Miley. But the real scene-stealer is Run and all his life lessons. Check out the Season 6 trailer premiering Monday, June 15 at 10 pm/ET.

Coolio's Rules
Artist: Coolio
Coolio's family isn't what you'd call average. This father must figure out how to manage his role as a musician, quest for love and budding new career as a caterer — all while raising four teens. Not an easy task, but at least he's still able to sport the same crazy hair style.

Hammertime
Artist: MC Hammer
It's been a while since we've heard from Mr. Hammer, but the 1990s superstar is ready to make his way back to the top — and is taking his wife and six kids along as he re-launches his empire. He may not be wearing is famous Hammer pants anymore, but based on the trailer, he is still dancing — except now it's with family.

Honorable mention goes to the show's marketing geniuses who came up with the idea of unleashing a flash mob dressed in gold Hammer pants on a trendy store.
