The Muppets Come Back Big But Can't Catch Breaking Dawn
The Muppets made their comeback complete, grossing an estimated $42 million over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend, but Kermit and Miss Piggy were no match for the vampires and werewolves of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
The fourth film in the Twilight saga took in $62.3 million in its second week to come in at No. 1, according to Box Office Mojo. The Muppets, starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams, followed in second place.

Happy Feet Two took third place with $18.3 million. The other two major releases of the holiday weekend, Arthur Christmas and Hugo, came in at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Arthur Christmas drew $17 million in ticket sales. Hugo nabbed $15.3 million.
Jack and Jill ranked sixth with $14.1 million. At No. 7, Immortals attracted $12.5 million.
Rounding out the top 10: Puss in Boots (No. 8, $10.3 million, bringing its total to $135.4 million), Tower Heist (No. 9, $10.1 million) and The Descendants (No. 10, $9.2 million).
