Williams was found with a pipe commonly used for marijuana while walking through the security checkpoint at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee on Tuesday. He paid the $484 citation and was able to continue on with his travel plans.

The 54-year-old former talk show host suffers from multiple sclerosis and has said he uses marijuana to relieve chronic pain. He became an activist for the medical use of the drug after being stopped at a Detroit airport for the same offense several years ago.
