Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon will join Glee as the new enemy of Jane Lynch's Sue in a recurring role, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Shannon's character, Brenda Castle, will serve as McKinley High School's new 45-year-old astronomy teacher and badminton coach; she's also an alcoholic and a pill popper. Her first episode is scheduled for May.
