Ringwald Expecting Twins; Will American Teenager's Mom Be Pregnant, Too?

Molly Ringwald is pregnant with twins — one boy, one girl — and due in August, the actress tells People. This double delivery will mark the first son and second daughter for Ringwald and husband Panio Gianopoulos, who have a 5-year-old named Mathilda.
A spokesperson for ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager — on which Ringwald plays Anne Juergens, the harried mother of a pregnant 15-year-old — tells People the actress' pregnancy will be written into the show.
American Teenager is currently airing its second season, and soon will be retitled "Mom Pot, Daughter Kettle."
