The Mindy Project Casts American Horror Story Alum as Danny's Ex-Wife

There's nothing scarier than an ex-wife. Unless that ex-wife also once played the resident nymphomaniac on American Horror Story.
Chloe Sevigny has been cast on The Mindy Project for a multi-episode arc as Danny's ex-wife, Christina, TVLine reports.

Christina is described as a well-traveled war photographer who's been with some intimidating men in foreign locales — which obviously makes the normally masculine, confident Danny (Chris Messina) insecure. Christina is excited for a romantic dinner with Danny but is disappointed when something suddenly comes up.
Danny's oft-mentioned by never seen ex-wife will appear in at least three episodes of the freshman comedy beginning in April. The casting comes on the heels of The Mindy Project's second-season renewal, which was announced Monday along with pick-ups for The Following, New Girl and Raising Hope.
Since her Golden Globe-winning turn on Big Love, Sevigny has guest-starred on Law & Order: SVU, Louie, Portlandia and American Horror Story: Asylum.
