In a statement, the country singer's rep would not confirm a diagnosis and asked that the public respect her family's privacy.

The 34-year-old's hospitalization followed an overdose call made to local police from the home of McCready's mother, according to The Associated Press.
Following substance abuse problems and a 2008 suicide attempt, McCready recently claimed to have achieved sobriety during Season 3 of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. She also released a new album, I'm Still Here, in March.
