Michael Lohan is engaged to former tabloid reporter Kate Major, People reports.
"I'm ecstatic. I've never met anyone who's been there for me like Kate," Lohan, 50, told People. "She's always been there for me."

The couple got engaged over the weekend. Major, a former reporter for Star magazine, was reportedly romantically involved with Jon Gosselin early last summer.
"I'm ecstatic. I'm very happy," Major, 27 told People. "Michael and I have known each other for four years, and it's meant to be."
Lohan, the father of Lindsay Lohan, has four children with ex-wife Dina Lohan. The two have been divorced since 2007.
