Michael Jackson Rushed to Hospital

Michael Jackson suffered cardiac arrest on Thursday and paramedics who rushed to the singer's home found he was not breathing, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The paramedics performed CPR and took Jackson to UCLA Medical Center, the newspaper quoted Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda as saying. Ruda confirmed to TVGuide.com that paramedics responded to a medical call and treated a patient at the address at 12:21 pm on Thursday, but said he could not confirm Jackson was involved or the patient's condition.

The health crisis came as the singer was trying to mount a massive comeback with a series of London concerts after his acquittal on child molestation charges in 2005.

Jackson's trips to the hospital for issues ranging from back problems to "viral symptoms" repeatedly delayed and distracted him from the trial, held in Santa Maria, Calif., near his Neverland Ranch.

The latest hospitalization came amid reports that Jackson has already postponed the latest concert's opening four dates.

Rolling Stone reported that bookies at London betting parlors were already increasing the odds that Jackson would cancel shows.
