Report: Ann Curry to Replace Meredith Vieira on Today

Meredith Viera and Ann Curry

You asked for her, you got her. After more than 60 percent of TVGuide.com voters said they wanted Ann Curry to replace Meredith Vieira on Today, their wish has come true.

Vieira is set to leave the NBC morning show in June, three months before the end of her contract, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Curry, who was passed over for the job when Vieira replaced Katie Couric in 2006, will then step up to co-host Today with Matt Lauer.

Curry will be replaced by Natalie Morales, who received 13 percent of TVGuide.com users' votes, as newsreader.

Vieira, 57, left ABC's The View for Today in 2006 to replace Couric, who went to CBS Evening News. Coincidentally, Couric recently announced she was leaving that position.
