"It was a shock. We weren't even trying," Rycroft tells Us Weekly. "It's the most wonderful surprise in the world."
After being publically dumped last year by Bachelor star Jason Mesnick, the 27-year-old quickly turned things around for herself with a turn on Dancing with the Stars and a wedding to Strickland, a 29-year-old insurance agent.

"He wanted the kids right away, and I was laughing at him going, 'No, not ready!'" she says. "He's actually cried more than I have."
Rycroft, a GMA correspondent, will be next seen as co-host of ABC's new spinoff, Bachelor Pad, premiering Aug. 9.
