Melissa Joan Hart's Former Manager Files Lawsuit Against Her

Melissa Joan Hart is being sued by her former manager, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kiernan Maguire filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday claiming that Hart is refusing to pay him commissions for her current ABC Family show Melissa & Joey. Maguire says he began representing the 35-year-old actress in 2006 and was fired after she got her present gig.

"This case is one more incident of an actress who seeks to take advantage of, mistreat and thumb her nose at those in her employ — in this instance the person who rescued her career as it was plummeting towards obscurity," the lawsuit states. "Melissa Joan Hart has no heart."
A rep for Hart gave the following statement to TVGuide.com: "Melissa worked with Kieran for a finite period of time, and he was paid in full for his services. During that time, Melissa never reviewed nor signed a management contract with him; nor did Kieran ever present her with one. No agreement was ever reached between the two of them. Ultimately, Melissa and several of her partners had issues with the way Kieran did business, and Melissa terminated her relationship with him several months ago. There is no basis whatsoever for the material allegations in his lawsuit, which are untrue and defamatory."
