Mel B was booed during her first taping of America's Got Talent after she dissed a brass band, TMZ.com reports.

The new judge and former Spice Girl was in New Orleans for her first day of filming alongside Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and Heidi Klum when she told a popular hometown brass hand, Lagniappe, that she wasn't a fan of brass music. The crowd naturally went wild, booing her and telling her to "Go home." Mel reportedly was upset and turned to Mandel for comfort.
Last month, Mel B joined the NBC competition show, replacing Sharon Osbourne, who quit the show in September over the network's treatment of her son Jack.
