I know it's early for Grey's Anatomy scoop, but do you know what's going to happen to Alex and Meredith in Season 8? — Alison
NATALIE: Alex will be in a heap of new trouble when Grey's returns in the fall — and not just with Meredith. Alex is very much persona non grata this season after snitching on Meredith for her unethical decision to mess with the Alzheimer's clinical trial. Anyone else think he might be stuck with permanent scut duty?
Have you heard anything about the new season of CSI: NY? — Diane
ADAM: Get ready to finally meet Mrs. Mac Taylor — through flashbacks, of course. I'm hearing the season premiere will find Mac thinking of his beloved Claire more than ever as the 10th anniversary of 9/11 — and her death — rolls around. While a pushy new forensics tech will ask Mac some prying personal questions about his late wife, viewers will get a glimpse at how Claire spent her final hours.
What's the scoop on The Vampire Diaries? — Grace
NATALIE: We'll flash-back to the speakeasies of Prohibition-era Chicago early on in Season 3, where we'll meet a vampire from Stefan's past who will head to present-day Mystic Falls in hopes of rekindling an old flame. If a Facebook relationship status existed that said "Currently Stalking Someone," that's what hers would say... but about Caroline!
What's the deal with House's Jesse Spencer? Is he coming back next year? — Melissa
ADAM: The deal is that, as of this writing, there is no deal to bring Dr. Chase back next season. Negotiations haven't completely flatlined, but with production set to kick off in late July, we're beginning to worry that Cuddy won't be the only face missing at Princeton-Plainsboro this fall. UPDATE: Jesse signed a deal to return to the show late last night!
Got any Dexter scoop? — Liz
NATALIE: Deb and Quinn will have officially moved in together when Season 6 — which jumps ahead one year — begins. But that doesn't mean everything is fine and dandy between them. "Quinn came up last year as a man who was worthy of Deb, but let's face it, we all know that Deb is the superior woman and deserves not to feel that she ever has to settle," executive producer Sara Colleton says. "That being said, Quinn has proven his mettle as a really good guy, so it's going to be a yin-and-yang, back-and-forth between her fear of fully committing. She's a little gun shy."
So Hawaii Five-0 has cast McGarrett's love interest. How soon will they hook up? — Dean
ADAM: Let me stop you there: Lauren German will recur as McGarrett's potential love interest. And it sounds like, at least initially, they will both be focused on their work. One such case involves rescuing a teen surfer who, after being given up for adoption, is kidnapped by her few-screws-loose biological father. He's part of an anti-pharmaceutical cult — which is problematic for his daughter, who needs to be regularly medicated for her heart condition.
Do you know if Andy and April will still be together when Parks & Recreation returns? — Aimee
NATALIE: The unlikely lovebirds will still be in their "honeymoon phase," executive producer Mike Schur tells us. "I don't feel the need to put them through the wringer. Stories require conflict, and I'm sure at some point we're going to [delve] into their conflict... [but] so far the kinds of stories we've been pitching for them are along those lines of goofing off and having a good time. We have a lot of fun stories for them."
What's the good word on the new season of Parenthood? — Annette
ADAM: Word is that Kristina is going to have some major separation anxiety when Max is "mainstreamed" at a new elementary school. Fortunately, Max's teacher is a kind and patient soul who is sensitive to both Max's needs and Kristina's fears.
It's been way too long since there's been any Spartacus scoop. Got anything for the new season? — Leslie
NATALIE: Are you ready for a female gladiator? In Season 2, we'll meet a beautiful, vicious woman who is capable of giving any of the male victors a run for their aureuses (ancient Roman currency — thanks, Wikipedia!). She's a passionate competitor — both on the battlefield and in the bedroom.
I haven't heard anything about the second season of Body of Proof. Can you correct that? —Abby
ADAM: I hear the show is on the lookout a smokin'-hot, street-smart woman in her late 20s to drive the medical examiner's van. She's not just a chauffeur though. Her real interest lies in forensics, and she desperately wants to join the team. To do so, she might have to grow a better filter between her brain and her mouth.
How is Gwen going to investigate Miracle Day with Captain Jack when she's got an infant with her in Torchwood? — Reggie
NATALIE: Isn't it obvious? That infant is toast. She'll be caught in the line of fire! Kidding! But it's true that Gwen won't have that infant for very long! Who's to blame for that? Rex (Mekhi Phifer), who won't be doing immortal Americans any favors when he comes between the mother and her child.
I loved The Closer premiere, but what's going to happen to Delk? — Steve
ADAM: After his apparent stroke, we are only going to see Delk once more, creator James Duff cryptically tells me. But as you may have guessed, Delk's unexpected inability to lead throws the LAPD's new org chart right out the window. "It changes everything," Duff says. "Pope's life changes forever after that moment and so do his goals."
Adam's Mega Rave: Despite all my colleagues' mocking — and the typically unsubtle sexual suggestiveness of the first Head of Household competition — I'm genuinely giddy about having Big Brother back in my life. I will resume normal social functioning in about three months.
Natalie's Mini Rant: I'm definitely hooked on Torchwood: Miracle Day, but the charred husk of that not-yet-dead explosion victim invoked the spirit of Valerie Cherish in me.
