Bérénice Marlohe is following in the footsteps of Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher and Denise Richards.
At a press conference for Skyfall, the 23rd installment in the James Bond franchise, the French actress was named as the next Bond Girl.
"I play a glamorous, enigmatic character called Severine," Malohe said. "I've been training a bit to fire guns for the first time in my life, so it was very fun, and I enjoyed it very much."
Daniel Craig, MGM moving forward With Bond film No. 23
Daniel Craig stars in his third turn as Bond alongside Dame Judi Dench, Eva Mendes and Javier Bardem. Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney also join the cast, as well as British actress Naomie Harris, who will play a field agent. Sam Mendes is directing.
Skyfall is slated for release on Oct. 26 2012.
