First Look: Olympian McKayla Maroney Guests on Hart of Dixie

Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) handles a case of teen angst on the November 20 episode of The CW's Hart of Dixie. While treating the high school football team, she catches the eye of its star player — who also happens to be young pal Rose's big crush.
Olympic gold-medal gymnast McKayla Maroney guest stars as Rose's best friend, Tonya. And she gets to use her trademark not-impressed facial expression. "I'm playing a country girl with an accent who is not very nice to Zoe," says Maroney. "Rose and Tonya are giving her attitude."
It was Maroney's first time acting, but she stuck the landing. "Gymnastics and acting kind of compare," she says. "You're putting on a show in both, and I feel really natural in front of the camera."
