Matt's Picks for the Week of June 21
HISTORY DETECTIVES (Monday at 9/8c, PBS)
The popular summer series goes into space for its eighth-season opener. One segment investigates whether art from Andy Warhol and five other major modern artists was smuggled onto the Moon in 1969 aboard the Apollo 12 lunar module, on an unauthorized ceramic "mini-canvas."
DEADLIEST CATCH (Tuesday at 9/8c, Discovery)
Tragedy strikes the Cornelia Marie when Captain Phil Harris suffers a stroke, and the crew — Including his sons Josh and Jake — take action to get the beloved boss medical attention. Thus begins the sad final chapters of this sixth season.
THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE (Wednesday at 8/7c, CBS)
We're really going to miss this underappreciated sitcom. In this week's repeat from the final season, Christine learns little Ritchie is bullying kids at school, which prompts her to make amends with the person she used to bully in junior high: Frances, or "Frankenstein," played by the delightful Amy Sedaris.
BOSTON MED (Thursday at 0/9c, ABC)
In the tradition of the acclaimed "Hopkins" series, this eight part docu-series gives cameras unlimited access to the medical staffs and patients in three Boston hospitals: Massachusetts General, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Children's Hospital. The focus is deeply personal as well as clinical.
