Matthew Broderick is heading to the Beach for a new NBC pilot.
The actor has signed on to star in the network's multicamera sitcom pilot, Beach Lane, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show, which was green-lit Monday, will star Broderick as a celebrity author hired to run a millionaire's struggling small-town newspaper in the Hamptons.

months ago, but would only commit after reading the final script.

, which centers on three couples with different definitions of the perfect relationship.
