Martin Lawrence may be returning to the small screen 14 years after the end of his self-titled Fox comedy, Vulture reports.
Martin Lawrence and longtime girlfriend tie the knot
Lawrence, 46, is in negotiations with CBS for a deal that would see the actor and comedian star in and executive-produce his own series for the network. The show, which has no writer attached, would be produced by CBS Television Studios and would likely debut sometime during the 2012-2013 TV season.
Lawrence became a breakout star on the Fox sitcom, Martin, which ran from 1992 to 1997. After leaving the series, which still lives on in reruns on BET, he went onto star in such film franchises as Bad Boys and Big Momma's House. Lawrence was also a series regular on the final season of What's Happening Now!! and currently executive-produces the series Love That Girl!
