Ivanka Trump

A man accused of stalking Ivanka Trump has been arrested in Reno, authorities said.

Justin Massler, 27, was arrested Tuesday in Reno on a warrant from New York City that said he used the Internet to stalk Trump. Massler wrote a blog called The Ivanka Trump Fan Blog, on which he drew comics about the 28-year-old daughter of Donald Trump and described himself as "a celebrity stalker who is obsessed with Ivanka Trump."

He has not had any in-person contact with the Celebrity Apprentice judge, Lt. Michael Whan of the Reno police told TVGuide.com.

Massler lives on the East Coast, but had been in Reno visiting his mother, Randee Massler, who said her son has a history of mental illness.

"He never harmed anyone and hasn't done anything other than write articles on the Internet," she told The Reno Gazette-Journal. "He hasn't come anywhere close to Ivanka Trump. He's like a 10-year-old who has a crush on a movie star."

As of Friday morning, Massler remained in Reno's Washoe County Jail without bail.

A spokeswoman for the New York County District Attorney's office said there was no new information on the case.
