It's not all fun and games at the Jersey Shore.
One day after losing ad sponsorship from Domino's, MTV did damage control with a statement saying "no advertiser has specifically pulled full sponsorship from the show. Domino's had indicated that they just did not want their run of schedule spots running during Jersey Shore, so they are not currently scheduled there," a network representative said in a statement.

Domino's' vice president of communications, Tim McIntyre, talked to TVGuide.com Friday about the decision to make sure its ads on MTV would not longer play during the show.. "One of the ads happened to show up and once we saw what the program was, we decided that the content wasn't in keeping with what we're all about," McIntyre said.
Friday, following the reality show's Thursday night premiere on MTV, a rep for UNICO, the largest Italian-American service organization in the U.S., told TMZ that the group had received many angry calls about the show from Italian-Americans. "Italian Americans are outraged and they are helping us reach out to sponsors to ask them to stop advertising with MTV until they agree to pull Jersey Shore," a rep told the site.

UNICO began urging MTV not to run the series - which follows a group of hard-partying Italian-American twentysomethings living on the Jersey Shore - since before its debut. "Jersey Shore may not be for every sponsor or advertiser and we understand that. We try to provide a variety of environments for our advertisers and it's never a 'one size fits all' scenario with MTV."
