RICHARD ALPERT (Nestor Carbonell)
Where We Left Off: In the 1970s, Richard helped Jack (Matthew Fox) and Sayid (Naveen Andrews) steal Jughead, while in 2008, he led Locke (Terry O'Quinn) to the four-toed statue, aka Jacob's house. While Ben (Michael Emerson) and who we believed was Locke were off killing the island deity, "Ricardo" also proved to be the only one able to answer Ilana's (Zuleikha Robinson) riddle. His reward? Well, he found out that the man he just let into Jacob's crib isn't John Locke at all.
What's Next: Carbonell has been upgraded to a series regular for the final season, so plan on seeing plenty of him and learning more about that link he has with Ilana. Also: He and Jacob don't appear to age. Unlocking that mystery will be central to cracking the island's code.
