First Look at Science Channel's Trek Nation Documentary

As the original Star Trek series celebrates its 45th anniversary today, Science Channel has given an airdate to its upcoming documentary Trek Nation.

The film, produced by Rod Roddenberry Jr., the son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, will run Wednesday, Nov. 30 on Science.

The feature-length special follows Roddenberry Jr. as he goes on a journey to learn more about his father, while documenting the continued celebration of the show (and its many spinoffs) by fans.

The documentary includes clips from the show and interviews with original cast members, as well as interviews with famous fans like George Lucas, J.J. Abrams and Stan Lee.
