Liz Vassey will not return for CSI's 11th season, a CBS rep tells TVGuide.com.

Vassey's contract option was not picked up, as first reported by Entertainment Weekly. According to that report, the 37-year-old actress, who for five seasons has played DNA technician Wendy Simms, was let go because the show is moving in a different creative direction next year.
Several of the show's other stars are also negotiating new contracts, according to EW. Series star Laurence Fishburne, however, is contracted through the end of the 2010-2011 season.
