Nine days after injuring her knee, Lindsey Vonn is back on the ski slopes.
"I went skiing today!" Vonn posted on Instagram Thursday, along with the hashtags progress and thankful.
Earlier this month, Vonn, who won gold and bronze medals in Vancouver, injured her surgically repaired right knee in a training run, prompting fears that she wouldn't be able to compete in the Winter Olympics in Sochi in February. She told Matt Lauer on Wednesday's Today that she felt "confident" her knee will be fine and that the crash was a "fluke accident."

The Sochi Winter Olympics begin Feb. 6.
