Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have called things off — for now.
"We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself," Lohan told E!.
The star's comments clarify recent speculation that the pair has hit a rough patch. Over the weekend, OK! and other outlets reported that Lohan was barred from a Ronson family party in Los Angeles. On Monday, Us said that the deejay had changed the locks at her residence, where Lohan had been living for the past six months.
Lohan's comments are particularly surprising since the women never quite confirmed their relationship in the first place. While they were suspected to be involved for more than a year, it wasn't until November 2008 that Lohan opened up about her bisexuality.
"I don't want to classify myself," she said at the time. "First of all, you never know what's going to happen — tomorrow, in a month, a year from now, five years from now. I appreciate people, and it doesn't matter who they are," she told Harper's Bazaar in an interview.
