Lindsay Lohan’s Probation Revoked — Will She Face Jail Time?

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan's probation was revoked Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court stemming from her June car accident, People reports.

Lohan's probation was revoked as a formality after prosecutors asked a judge to consider finding the 26-year-old actress in violation of her probation.

Prosecutors claim that the Liz & Dick star lied to a police officer, obstructed an officer and that she was driving recklessly when she crashed her Porsche into a dump truck back in June. Although Lohan completed the requirements of her formal probation, which stems back to a 2011 necklace-theft case, she is still on informal probation until May 24, 2014.

Lohan did not attend Wednesday's hearing and her attorney, Shawn Holley, told reporters afterward: "We're all hoping to get this behind us very quickly."

Lohan is next due in court on Jan. 15, on which date a hearing will be set to determine whether she violated probation during the crash. There is also a possibility that prosecutors could argue that Lohan violated her probation earlier this month when she was arrested in New York for allegedly punching a woman in a nightclub.

Lohan faces up to 245 days in jail.
