Lindsay Lohan Free From House Arrest After 35 Days

Lindsay Lohan has been released from house arrest after serving 35 days of home confinement, People reports.
Lohan's new freedom, which also makes her no longer subject to random drug and alcohol tests, comes just days before her 25th birthday on July 2.

"She completed her home detention today and she's now back under the supervision of the courts and probation," sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the magazine.
Lohan was sentenced to house arrest after pleading no contest to misdemeanor theft in May. She was eligible for house arrest and released early because she's a nonviolent offender and because of budgetary issues and jail overcrowding.

The Mean Girls actress is expected to resume her community service at a downtown L.A. women's shelter, and has not yet started her duties at the L.A. County Morgue. She will also continue her psychological counseling ordered by the court and must complete a Shoplifters Alternative program.
"She is very focused on resuming her community service obligation," her rep told People.
Lohan will still be on probation -- stemming from her two DUI cases in 2007 -- for the next three years. She is due for a progress review on July 21.
