Lifetime has given a 10-episode order to Marti Noxon's dark comedy Un-Real, the network announced Thursday.
Un-Real offers a behind-the-scene look at the chaos surrounding the production of a dating competition program not too dissimilar from The Bachelor. Roswell's Shiri Appleby will star alongside Rules of Engagement vet Megyn Price, Freddie Stroma, Nathalie Kelley (Body of Proof), Greek's Johanna Braddy, Breeda Wool, Jericho alum Ashley Scott and guest star Arielle Kebbel (The Vampire Diaries).

"Un-Real is unlike anything that exists on television today," Rob Sharenow, Lifetime's Executive Vice President and General Manager, said in a statement. "It's premium and original on every level, and we're thrilled that Marti Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro's unique series will be Lifetime's first program produced by A+E Studios."
Noxon, a longtime writer and producer on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will write and executive-produce the series with Shapiro (Sequin Raze).
